The Boiling House Plaza Map
The Boiling House in Cherry Hill, NJ needed a gimmicky map that was playful on the unique menu features. Being a “laid-back BYOB with a mixed menu of Cajun seafood buckets, Asian noodles, wings & other fried fare”, the owner wanted to focus in on the seafood aspect.
To make the concept eye catching and unique we decided on a treasure map/nautical theme. To go along with the theme, I created quirky play on names for the main features of the plaza. He described that the restaurant was tucked away and he really needed people to to see how to get there as well as be compelled to. Along the way to bring out the dotted line, I plotted sea creatures and dish sides to draw the viewers attention to the main point, that was The Boiling House.
