Now in days almost all tattoos are picked out online and brought into the artist rather than the client going in to pick off of their flash sheets. In rare cases a client has a vision and goes to a graphic designer to create, mockup and help point them in a direction of an artist that can see their vision through. In this case I was lucky enough to add to my list of tattoo commissions.
My client wanted to cover up a tattoo from his college days. The idea he had for this tattoo was the Florida/Florida gator, something related to golf and a tribute to his son. Keeping in mind I would have to match the size and shape to cover up his previous tattoo, this is what I came up with.
